I like the new look and the infotainment screen is better then the previous generation I like the fact it has the old school shifter and not one of those goofy electronic shifters the ride is smooth and stable gas mileage is great it has lots of cargo area and a spare tire not one of those stupid repair kits and the price was affordable
    • Love my new Outback

I had a 2016 Outback the I loved and put 200K miles on with only 475 dollars in unscheduled maintenance so, when it was time to get a new car, a Subaru outback was on the top of my list. I have to admit when I first saw the new outback. I was a little disappointed that it didn’t have the Subaru wagon look, but after test driving the vehicle and being super impressed with it, I decided the non-wagon look was actually an advantage because you picked up so much more interior space. The main thing I like about the new outback is how much more refined it is then the previous models. It is super plush drives like 1 million bucks and I love the technology in the car. I’ve only put 1200 miles on my car, but I am absolutely in love with it. I bought the 26 outback touring without the turbo mainly because it has basically the same engine that I was so happy with my previous car. I will admit the car is not super punchy, but it does have adequate power. I suppose if you wanted a more punchy version, the turbo might be a good fit for you.

We traded in our ‘21 Outback Touring for the ‘26 Outback Touring XT. What a difference. We loved the ‘21, but the ‘26 takes Outbacking to the next level. First, the 2.4L turbo - finally the car has the power to really move it. The NA had adequate power, but merging onto a freeway was always a bit of a challenge. Not anymore. We really like the new design. I know that there are haters out there that think the Subaru sold out by moving away from the wagon style, but the new design is a lot more rugged looking. The interior is great - love the brown Napa leather. Lastly, the infotainment system is much, much better. No lag, better clarity, and physical buttons for the climate control. Well done Subaru!
